ISSUE TWO THOUSAND-SEVEN HUNDRED-TWENTY-ONE
--------------------------------------------
IN OTHER NEWS
By Mike Whitney

As the Trailways bus lumbered into the curve, the man stood in the aisle and
began to sing.

Jesus loves me this I know

and pulled the gun from beneath his sweater,

For the Bible tells me so.

He began firing into the screaming passengers huddled in their seats. The
driver crumpled as a slug tore into his brain.

Little ones to him belong

He screamed now as the bus left the highway and plunged down the embankment.

They are weak but he is strong.

The beast in the darkness grunted and slouched away. It began to rain.

Evil exists. Do you remember the story of the guy on the Greyhound? He inexplicably stabbed the guy next to him, and then as the other passengers fled, ate pieces of his victim. I'm pretty sure the beast in the darkness grunted then too.
